We started NiR to celebrate relationships — between farmers, roasters, and the guests who actually drink the cup.
We started NiR to celebrate relationships — between farmers, roasters, and the guests who actually drink the cup.
We question every barrier — cost, knowledge, exclusivity — so great coffee can be tailored, transparent, and within reach.
Near-infrared roasting lets us dial clarity, repeatability, and custom profiles for partners who want coffee that fits them.

Humble and curious couple that has bounced through a string of ventures—from small magic shop to larger big businesses—constantly iterating on how to build something beneficial. They turn experiments into steady operations, shaping the systems that keep each project grounded. When they noticed how inaccessible good coffee had become behind premium pricing, they taught themselves roasting — and now keep NiR's strategy and vision pointed in the right direction.

A veteran café owner who's seen first-hand how unpredictable coffee pricing gets — and how thin the support is when a machine goes down. At NiR, every grinder, roaster, espresso machine, and brewer in the program ultimately answers to him; nothing on the floor stays broken for long. He's also the voice most partners hear from us — keeping every outside relationship honest and the community connected.

Spent close to a decade abroad, studying computer science and venture-building, before returning to engineer NiR from the inside out — the digital stack, the operational tempo, the green-bean sourcing pipeline. Personally curates the rare-profile lots, and still fires up the roaster for them. The systems, the cadence, and the program direction all route back through his desk.

Fedy and Hayu have spent years embedded in Jakarta's coffee community, connecting with roasters, café owners, and coffee enthusiasts. They keep NiR plugged into that community, opening doors and making sure our story reaches the right people.

With more than a decade in coffee—covering café management, consulting, barista coaching, competition judging, and roasting—Yusuf brings a wide-ranging perspective to the production floor. He keeps schedules, training, and quality control aligned so accessibility never means compromising standards. That context helps him translate producer intent into dependable profiles. When new ideas land, he's the one piloting them through the roastery before they scale.

Jill relocated to Malang, mastered every corner of the roastery, and now runs daily roasting alongside Ucup. He is the steady hand who balances production schedules, maintenance needs, and crew support so nothing slips between shifts. Jill knows every subsystem end-to-end and jumps in wherever the floor needs backup. If a team hits a snag, he is usually the first to fill the gap.
